A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin

Chapter 844 - Empress Meng Wanshu

Ye Xuan’s eyes narrowed at her words, countless thoughts flashing through his mind. The woman before him was perceptive indeed; she had already pieced something together.

Buzz!

Qin Wushang emerged from the void, glancing at Ye Xuan somewhat helplessly.

Ye Xuan’s eye twitched. He hadn’t expected Qin Wushang to tag along. Is he worried I’ll make a move?

“Come with me.”

Ye Xuan brought Meng Wanshu and Qin Wushang into the secret chamber from before.

The moment Qin Wushang saw the terrifying altar beneath his feet, his eyes narrowed and his expression turned grave.

With his back to Meng Wanshu, Ye Xuan said softly, “You guessed correctly. Xin’er was indeed tampered with.”

He traced a finger through space, tearing open a pitch-black rift, and dragged out an elderly man who had been tortured beyond recognition. All five of his senses had been destroyed. His primordial soul hovered on the verge of dissipating, as though the slightest disturbance would shatter it completely. Yet, a layer of azure light enveloped both his body and soul, forcibly keeping him alive.

Ye Xuan narrowed his eyes at the old man and said coldly, “This is my Third Uncle.”

At those words, Meng Wanshu and Qin Wushang both sucked in a sharp breath. The sight of a Combined Body Realm cultivator tortured into such a miserable state was horrifying enough. And Ye Xuan said that the man was his own uncle.

Ye Xuan shook his head slightly and coldly said, “This matter is related to him, but he himself knew nothing. Whoever is behind this has terrifying methods. I used the altar’s power to spy on the them, but the moment I did, I was immediately discovered.”

Meng Wanshu’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Senior, do you still know the spatial coordinates?”

Ye Xuan glanced at her in surprise. “You want to search for them?”

Meng Wanshu didn’t reply.

Ye Xuan hesitated briefly, then flicked a streak of azure light toward her. “They likely relocated the moment they discovered my divine consciousness. If you go now, you probably won’t find anything.”

Meng Wanshu silently accepted the light, thanked him softly, and left. Before Qin Wushang could stop her, she had already torn through the domain boundary and vanished into the void.

Qin Wushang pressed a hand against his forehead and muttered helplessly, “What kind of temper is that... No, I need to tell Meng Jiangchu about this.”

He took out a jade slip and informed his father, Qin Xiao, of what had happened.

Qin Xiao set down his teacup and turned with a grin. “That daughter of yours has quite the temper. She went to find Ye Xuan herself, and now she’s gone off alone again.”

Meng Jiangchu’s teacup trembled in his hand. The corner of his eye twitched as he rose with a sigh. “Fine, fine. Looks like I’ll never get a moment’s peace. I’ll go take a look.”

Qin Xiao called after him. “Brother Meng, how about we become in-laws? My son is quite outstanding too.”

Meng Jiangchu grinned from the doorway. “I admit your son is outstanding. But my son-in-law is even better. Hahahaha! ”

Qin Xiao stood up and cursed, “You bastard, what are you showing off for?”

Then the rugged-looking Qin Xiao settled back into his chair, recalling Meng Wanshu’s temperament. Smacking his lips, he muttered, “ Tch ... what a pity. My son simply lacks the fortune.”

In the silent depths of the void, snowflakes began to drift through the darkness without warning. A tall, slender figure slowly appeared. Meng Wanshu was barefoot, and ice flowers bloomed beneath her jade-like feet with every step. Her long black hair was loosely tied behind her head, and her magnificent blue dress fluttered gently, revealing slender, perfectly proportioned calves. In her left hand, she held a sapphire-blue longsword that exuded an ancient and desolate aura. Her narrow, fox-like eyes swept coldly across the surrounding void.

Her steps halted. The moment she stopped, Meng Wanshu drew her sword.

Screech!

A piercing sword cry echoed throughout the void, and a terrifying sword light slashed out horizontally. The dazzling blade radiance stretched for thousands of zhang, freezing and tearing apart the void in its path.

Boom!

Just as the sword light crossed a thousand zhang, an explosion rang out. The void split apart, and a massive black palace emerged from the darkness.

Inside the black pool, Song Zhi’ang shot to her feet, crimson veins spreading through her beautiful eyes. “Meng Wanshu!”

The sword light was upon her almost instantly. Yet before it could split the palace apart, Meng Wanshu appeared beside the black pool, faster than the sword light she had unleashed. Standing high above, she looked down at Song Zhi’ang, her eyes filled with icy killing intent. Even she had not expected Song Zhi’ang to be the one behind all of this.

Boom!

Overhead, the sword light swept past, slicing the entire palace cleanly in half.

Song Zhi’ang waved her hands forcefully, and the black pool surged upward, boiling as it rose to shield her. Even so, the impact sent her flying back several thousand zhang. She spat out a mouthful of blood, her face pale as paper.

Before she could react, a cold hand clamped down on her head. Meng Wanshu flashed past her and violently hurled her away. Towering ice walls, each several zhang thick, rose one after another in her path.

Boom boom boom!

Boom boom!

Song Zhi’ang felt as though her body was about to come apart. Her organs ruptured. She vomited blood mixed with chunks of flesh. The bones in her back cracked.

Despite all the power she’d force-fed herself, Song Zhi’ang had only barely entered the Illusory Refinement Realm. She did not possess the slightest ability to fight back.

Just as the ice wall’s rebound flung Song Zhi’ang upward again, Meng Wanshu’s long, slender leg lashed out like a blade. Song Zhi’ang instinctively raised both arms to block, but midway through the strike, the kick changed direction and slammed into her waist.

Boom!

Song Zhi’ang’s ribs shattered instantly, the bone fragments tearing through her flesh and internal organs.

“ Ahh! You bitch! I’m going to kill you!”

Song Zhi’ang raised her hand violently, and countless spears of pitch-black vital force shot toward Meng Wanshu.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

A shrill whistle tore through the air.

Meng Wanshu simply stood in place without even drawing her sword. A massive snowflake manifested behind her, and countless sapphire-blue ice blades burst outward. The demonic-qi-shrouded spears couldn’t get within a hundred zhang of her.

Meng Wanshu coldly extended a finger. The snowflake behind her shattered into four longswords that shot forward explosively.

Demonic qi swirled, forming a protective barrier around Song Zhi’ang. But how could the enraged Meng Wanshu be stopped so easily?

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

Boom boom boom!

Explosions rang out one after another. The longswords pierced through the demonic qi and pinned Song Zhi’ang in midair. Frost power immediately sealed both her dantian and her primordial soul.

Buzz!

Stepping on ice crystals, Meng Wanshu walked forward like an empress surveying the world below, her gaze cold as ice. Her crimson lips parted. “You think you’re worthy of scheming against him?”

Humiliation seared through Song Zhi’ang. Meng Wanshu hadn’t done anything to humiliate her, but her very identity, combined with the lofty manner in which she looked down on her, was enough to drive Song Zhi’ang mad.
