VRMMO: World's First Glyphborne

Chapter 345: No Head

In this state, Belladonna was not nearly as powerful as she was in her fully transformed state. At the current moment, her boost was probably around 20% of her regular stats. But since her stats were already in the hundreds, that ’mere 20%’ was still a significant boost.

And although it did not have the explosive, sound barrier shattering power of her Blood Frenzy form. It had something even better. Control.

Every step was powerful and controlled. Her usually still heart thundered and her mind operated just as fast as her body, desperately taking in as much information as it could. She was taking that split second increase in perception in moments of panic, where time seemed to slow down and your body did everything to save itself or others, and extended it as long as she could handle the burden.

The result, was a faint blur of movement that swept into the camp like a ghost. The air would bristle, the ground would be disturbed slightly, and bodies would drop a moment later. The only indication of Belladonna’s presence was the phantom image that appeared of her whenever she had to stop or change direction for a split second.

By the time Belladonna had to stop, the guards watching the exterior of the war camp had been completely slaughtered, with not even a whisper nor scream to tell anyone about it.

When she did stop, however, Belladonna immediately hunched over and cancelled out the effect of the Glyph. Even still, her veins wriggled underneath her skin like worms trying to dig their way out, her muscles spasmed and twitched involuntarily and her heart still pounded in her chest like it was about to explode.

Perhaps if she had run it too much longer, her heart would have exploded.

After all, there was a reason why the body didn’t operate like this at every moment. Her twitching muscles had been tearing themselves apart with nearly every movement, as they could barely handle the load they were put under.

But that was were her self given name of the Immortal Glass Cannon was helping her own. Although her muscles tore and ruptured, her body quickly knitted them back together at a supernatural rate.

It wasn’t in the way that could make her muscles stronger, that took time and proper healing. But this would at least stop her from crippling herself after a few seconds of use.

The camps tranquillity, unaware of the fates of their guards, did not last long. A few moments after Belladonna stopped, an armour clad meteor crashed into the centre of the camp. The meteor, which was naturally Lilith, rose slowly to her feet as dozens of confused eyes landed on her towering, muscular body.

A smirk danced across her face, as she activated her transformation ability.

The pitch black aura that clung to her body, and which formed her body, swirled around her like a tornado before exploding outwards. It swept over everyone that was currently looking at her and coiled around them like a seductive embrace.

It slipped into their ears, like the whispers of a lover, and wrapped around their minds as they were ensnared by the woman in front of them, who’s appearance had completely changed.

The armour that Lilith usually wore had melted, disappearing into an outfit that barely covered her body, which was now ravishing and sleek. Hard, toned muscles had been replaced by soft, smooth skin that was supple to the touch, and every one of the demons that could see her wanted to touch. They needed to touch.

They were drawn forwards like mindless slaves themselves, their mouths hung open in twisted smiles as drool trickled from their lips, as they stumbled towards the succubus before them.

This was Lilith’s transformation, and the reminder that she was indeed a Succubus. Normally, the Succubus’ natural ability would supernaturally extend any armours defence rating to her bare skin, which was what allowed her to show off and have the illusion of hard as steel abs that could block any attack.

However, in her transformed state, that ability was further increased. Any armour she was wearing was absorbed, and the defence level it gave was doubled as it spread over her now exposed body. Not just that, but she activated a wide spread, beguiling taunt that affected anyone that looked at her.

It was an ability that was reminiscent of Vi’fer the Insatiable, only the boss had it activated permanently. In fact, like this Lilith almost looked identical to Vi’fer herself, except that Lilith lacked wings and was not a crushed pile of mashed viscera. So only in the small details, really.

It was not perfect though. As some had enough mental fortitude, or simply the right sexuality, to push through the taunt. It was one that worked exceptionally well on humanoids, but might not be the best for beasts or the like.

However it seemed in this camp, brawn was valued much more than brains, as nearly half of the camp fell for Lilith’s seduction and were lured towards her.

They clambered forwards, eventually falling to their hands and knees as they crawled like dogs just to hug at her feet. Putting themselves in the perfect position for Lilith’s axe to take their heads, as if they were offering themselves up for execution.

When their heads bounced across the floor, they still had the giddy, love drunk smiles plastered across their faces. So at least they died happy, or delirious at the very least.

More bodies burst out of tents, drawn out into the open by the commotion. Some of them were wearing armour, with it hastily pulled onto their bodies, whilst others were wearing sleeping rags or even towels from the baths that had been interrupted and which they were still dripping wet from.

Many of these newcomers succumbed to Lilith’s enchanting visage the moment they laid eyes on her, becoming yet more victims to the beguiling executioner.

However others were able to resist the enchantment and could focus on what was actually causing the commotion within the camp, which was naturally an invading army.

How anyone could miss the hundreds of enemies that were running into their camp, just because some woman was here, was unbelievable. Some of these invaders were even coming out of their own tents!

Their wicked blades were still slick and dripping with the blood of the comrades that they had slaughtered in their sleep. They just had to thank the gods that it was not them that got the same treatment, as they raised their own blades and charged towards the invaders, as the invaders charged at them.

Amongst all of the chaos, there was a delicate white fox. It sauntered past the corpses, used the crawling men as stepping stones, and wove through the barbaric clashes as friend battled friend under the illusion that they were both enemies of the other.

Even when a blade occasionally clipped the fox on accident, it barely ruffled the perfect, snow white fur and could not pierce the skin underneath, as it sauntered towards the cages.

Dozens of cages held even more lizards, as many of them were packed into cages that were barely large enough to comfortably hold one of them, nevermind two. But comfort was the enemy of efficiency.

The stench was horrific, a mixture of bile, urine and faeces as well as the left overs of whatever food they had been feeding these poor creatures.

The Foxes appearance shifted as it reached the cages. It’s fur twisting together as it wove itself into a perfect white robe. Its face shrunk into something that was still adorable, but in a different way, as its paws became hands and feet.

A staff grew from a small twig that the fox had stuck in its fluffy tale, as Saige snatched the staff from his tail and let it swing back behind him.

He looked over the cages with cold, miserable eyes filled with disgust, before he strolled over to the nearest one.

Ignoring all of the bloodshed, chaos and havoc happening behind him, Saige closed his eyes and rested a delicate hand on the cold iron lock of the cage as he studied it. There was no magic, not that he could detect. Just cold iron mechanics. He could resolve that.

" Horvu, Corsal Vidon." He muttered softly under his breath.

A white light seeped from his palm, creeping into the intricacies of the lock, before the door popped open with a soft kerchunk.

Saige quickly slipped into the cage and squeezed his way past the cramped lizard, until his petite figure was sitting on its back. He pressed his hand against the brand that had been left on its scales, the wound still fresh and the skin twisted and raw, yet the lizard didn’t even flinch in pain.

It wasn’t allowed to.

"Great Beast Lord... One of your children has been stripped of their freedoms. I beseech thee... Restore the mind you so gracefully gave to them, so they may roam the wilds once more." Saige whispered, as his hand glowed once again. However this time, it was with a dazzling and almost blinding gold.
