Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 606 - 68: Advent_2

The power from Dragon Blood and the Power of Heart Energy made this Warrior nearly unstoppable on the battlefield.

A blazing white light almost burst through the Legion Commander’s eyes, heightening his presence even more.

"Repent, you bastards!"

Gilenis sidestepped, avoiding the heavy blow from a towering Bull Demon, and delivered a powerful kick with his left leg, shattering the joint of the Bull Demon’s leg that was as thick as a tree, causing it to topple over.

Bang, Gilenis’ Heavy Hammer then descended, smashing the entire face of the Bull Demon into pieces.

He wielded his Heavy Hammer and advanced forward with the Legion Warriors, attracting more and more Demons, significantly weakening their assault on the city walls and easing the city’s defenses, giving Casters much-needed respite.

Boom,

Dragon Descendant Wolf Species Saha spewed a Fireball from its mouth, crashing into the hordes of Demons. The blazing Fireball exploded like a Mage’s spell, obliterating over a dozen Demons, sending foul blood and severed limbs flying everywhere.

"Stick close to me, don’t fall behind," the Dragon Descendant Wolfman bellowed loudly, smoke trailing from his mouth.

Born from the Dragon Descendant bloodline, Saha was endowed with Warlock-like powers, not just acquiring powerful spells like the Dragon Breath Skill but also receiving the fiery gifts of the Ancestral Red Dragon’s Fireball Skill.

This allowed the already formidable Wolfman Warrior more offensive choices on the battlefield. Unlike Bloodline Mages and Casters, these Mages didn’t need to cast spells, meaning this Wolfman could launch spell bombardments while attacking with the Heavy Sword in hand.

Under the lead of these two mighty Warriors, the Dragon Legion’s Warriors surprisingly began pushing upstream at Valerian Avenue, the sole passage, drawing the attention of most Demons like a stubborn rock cutting through the water’s flow.

Many Demons passing by these Warriors stopped aiming at the mountainous city wall, instead turning to kill these Warriors who dared to proactively attack the Demons.

Thus, the Dragon Legion’s Warriors began suffering casualties.

On the flank of the Legion, two Titan Demon Pythons, with their armor-like scale armor, could resist most Demon claws and weapons. Their massive bodies and strength were their greatest weapons; each tail whip and body roll could sweep away and crush over a dozen Demons.

Demons they found distasteful were sliced by the curved fangs of the Pythons and then spat out, whereas tastier Demons were swallowed whole by the Pythons to replenish their exhausted physical strength and power.

But under the increasing Demon assaults, deep scars began to appear on the scales of the Titan Demon Pythons.

"These useless things, they’re really unfit for use,"

On the hillside across the strait, it was starkly different from other places, where the eye saw nothing but endless Demons. Here, there were hardly any Demons, only scattered groups of over a hundred High Tier Demons gathered.

Because Great Demon Saceres stood there, his chaotic, violent aura intimidating the Low Tier and Mid-tier Demons from approaching.

Saceres, the Great Demon, was indistinguishable by race at first glance.

A reverse triangular goat-shaped skull as deep black as obsidian, with twisted spikes and small sharp horns adorning the cheekbones beneath the massive bull horns, an irregular mouth jutted outward with dozens of curved fangs.

His enormous flesh wings blinked with dozens of eyes like the wings had a life of their own, with blades growing like saber-shaped scales at the wing tips.

Claws as sharp as those of a Giant Dragon, yet his lower limbs were a pair of hooves, with muscle dense and full that immediately conjured thoughts of strength.

Innate purple Evil Fire swirled among the mane on the Demon’s back, appearing as a layer of violet mist.

The powerful aura exuded by the Great Demon was the inherent aura of mighty creatures, making the surrounding Low Tier Demons reluctant to cast their gaze here.

Even amongst the High Tier Demons, including Balrog Flame Demons and Six-armed Snake Demons, such High Races, they felt that Saceres’s figure was insurmountably mighty.

Minds weighted with disorder, it felt akin to facing a mountain, themselves shackled with heavy bonds.

This was the suppression of aura, causing these Demons, whose strength couldn’t match the Great Demon’s, to feel pathetically small before him.

A Soul Raider Demon cautiously said, "Lord Saceres, those are warriors of Dragons, bearing the bloodline of Giant Dragons, stronger than Low Level Demons, and those who have stolen the great Demon’s Blood also have higher lineage than Low Level Demons."

On the reverse triangular skull of Great Demon Saceres, his narrow eyes flashed approval. He glanced at the eager High Tier Soul Raider Demon and chuckled, "Heh, well done, quite smart, come closer, tell me your name."

The High Tier Soul Raider Demon felt joyous. If a powerful Great Demon admired him, granting some power, he might be able to elevate his rank.

So, he bowed his head and approached, "Lord Saceres, I..."

Splat,

The Great Demon’s claw covered the head of the Soul Raider Demon, then crushed it, leaving the words unsaid forever.

"Hehehe, you’re the smartest one in this world, can’t I see it?" Saceres’ narrow eyes showed amusement.

He extended his tongue, barbed with reverse-hook spikes, to taste the liquid on his claw, then squinted his eyes.

"Go, eliminate these troublesome bunch, bring back their Souls intact, I shall make these brave Warriors my servants,"

"Then I’ll destroy the world’s last civilization, let this world become my breeding ground."

"Yes, Lord Saceres."

Frenzy Demons, Six-armed Snake Demons, Balrog Flame Demons, Purgatory Demons, one by one, the High Tier Demons, sanctioned by the Great Demon, joined the battle.

Just then, Great Demon Saceres suddenly turned, his senses detecting at a distant point in this world, from a once-arrived portal passage, a powerful aura descending, as if another mighty Demon Lord was about to traverse from another plane.

Such an aura was so prominent that even the other detected auras, different from Demons, appeared somewhat insignificant.

"Is it a Giant Dragon?"

...

Once upon a time, the Yaxia Lands were magic-thriving cities in this world, and for countless years, the magical power here had never dissipated, Red-robed Witch Nalia spent her childhood here.

It was said the rivers here always ran with green water, filled with toxic fumes and sulfur, forcing the people of this city, despite living by the water, to buy water and food from other cities.

Beside Yaxia lay the Yaxia Shadow Lands, and from within it, an ancient river - the Ash River flowed out into the Sea.

The Ash River wound through precipitous cliffs; the rocky walls nearly kissed, allowing the waters to flow only in shadows, sometimes bathing in sunshine only when the sun was high in the sky.

The cliffs were scattered with caves, from which stories told by Shadow Binders who ventured to the Shadow Lands, claimed shelter for demons, demon dragons, and far worse creatures.

Deeper into the Shadow Lands, the creatures grew ever more twisted and terrifying.

In the valley amid mountains, a ruin city called Stige stood, surrounded by Ghost Grass, taller than mounted riders.

Yet once dead silent city ruins stirred quietly.

Numerous Ghost Grass rustled amid vibrations, like spirits softly howling.

Boom, an invisible tremor spread throughout the ruin, collapsing age-old standing structures.

A colossal Floating Island, transcending from the Void, projected to hover above the city’s ruins.
