Chapter 213: Meeting Another Celestial Grade Talent

Alex left that district and began walking toward the temple once again. His pace was calm, but countless thoughts were running through his mind. Although he had successfully completed his first task, he knew that his journey in the Genesis Realm had only just begun.

He had already decided on the path he wanted to follow.

Becoming a doctor was undoubtedly the best choice for him.

With his Celestial Grade talent, reaching the peak of the medical profession would not have been difficult. His healing abilities were already far beyond ordinary standards, and as he grew stronger, they would only become even more extraordinary.

Unfortunately, talent alone could not solve every problem.

The Genesis Realm was a place where status carried immense weight. Regardless of how gifted someone was, they still needed an identity, influence, and resources to establish themselves. Alex had none of those things.

At present, he had only recently obtained the identity of a commoner class citizen.

Without a respectable background or enough wealth, opening a famous infirmary was nothing more than an unrealistic dream. Even if he possessed miraculous healing techniques, very few people would trust an unknown commoner.

His current status and financial condition simply did not allow such ambitions to become reality.

After arriving at the temple, Alex walked directly toward the reception counter.

He took out the signed document that proved he had completed the assigned task and handed it over to the receptionist.

The middle-aged man accepted the paper and examined it carefully.

A trace of surprise slowly appeared on his face.

He looked up at Alex once again before checking the paper for a second time, as though making sure he had not misunderstood anything.

"So, you actually completed it."

His voice carried genuine astonishment.

"This mission had already been accepted by several people before you. However, none of them managed to finish it. They either failed or simply disappeared without submitting any proof."

He nodded with approval.

"Not bad."

After observing Alex for another moment, the receptionist narrowed his eyes slightly.

"You are a light element wielder, are you not?"

Alex blinked in surprise.

He had not expected the man to guess that so easily.

Before he could answer, the familiar mechanical voice echoed inside his mind.

[Ding! In the Genesis Realm, every individual is born with only one elemental affinity or one law. Throughout their entire lives, they are incapable of comprehending any other law. Only Paragons possess the ability to master every law and Dao.]

Alex’s eyes widened instantly.

He almost stopped breathing after hearing those words.

’What?’

His heart skipped a beat.

Inside his mind, he immediately questioned the system.

"Why did you not tell me this earlier? Does that not mean I am already an anomaly in this realm? Even if my understanding is only partial, I can already use every law and Dao."

The system replied without the slightest emotion.

[Ding! You are indeed an anomaly. Normally, lower realm beings who ascend to the Genesis Realm retain the ability to wield multiple laws. Because of that, powerful organizations constantly search for such individuals. Rather than nurturing them, many prefer to capture and enslave them because their future potential is enormous.]

Alex nearly cursed aloud.

He resisted the urge to smack the invisible system.

’You useless thing.’

’Such important information should have been mentioned from the beginning.’

’If I had revealed too much without knowing this, I could have walked directly into a disaster.’

Taking a slow breath, Alex forced himself to calm down.

None of those thoughts appeared on his face.

Instead, he smiled somewhat awkwardly.

"Yes," he answered politely. "I possess the light element."

The receptionist’s smile immediately became warmer.

"I thought so."

He leaned slightly against the counter before continuing.

"Then have you ever considered becoming a doctor?"

Alex gave an honest answer.

"I have."

He smiled bitterly.

"However, I do not have any money, and I am only a commoner. Becoming a respected doctor requires far more than healing ability."

The receptionist nodded knowingly.

"You are not wrong."

"However, there is another option."

His voice became more enthusiastic.

"You can join the Light Elemental Faction."

Alex looked at him curiously.

"The Light Elemental Faction?"

"Yes."

The receptionist smiled proudly.

"Light elemental users are extremely rare throughout the Genesis Realm. Every organization values them greatly. If you perform well after joining the faction, you may even receive promotion to Elite Citizen without paying the enormous fee that ordinary people have to spend."

Alex listened attentively.

That was certainly much better than struggling alone.

"So, the Light Faction belongs to the temple?"

"It does."

The receptionist nodded.

"Every major organization has several rare elemental factions."

He continued explaining patiently.

"Among all elemental affinities, light, darkness, and lightning are considered the rarest. Anyone who possesses one of those elements receives special treatment because their future achievements are usually extraordinary."

He smiled confidently.

"If you become an exclusive member of the temple’s Light Elemental Faction, you will receive one hundred Genesis Coins every month."

Alex’s eyebrows rose slightly.

One hundred Genesis Coins every month was not a small amount for someone like him.

The receptionist continued.

"Furthermore, every coin that you earn through your own abilities will belong entirely to you. The temple only collects a one percent tax from your income."

Alex silently calculated the benefits.

Joining the faction would immediately solve several of his current problems.

He would receive a stable income.

He would gain the protection and reputation of the temple.

Most importantly, the temple possessed one of the largest information networks in the region.

With access to that network, gathering intelligence about the Genesis Realm would become significantly easier.

The more information he acquired, the safer his future actions would become.

After considering everything carefully, Alex finally reached a decision.

"All right."

A smile appeared on his face.

"I would like to join."

The receptionist’s eyes instantly brightened.

Recruiting a rare light elemental user was a significant achievement. If everything proceeded smoothly, he himself would receive a generous reward from the organization.

"Excellent."

His smile widened.

"Please wait over there for a few minutes."

"I shall notify the envoy immediately."

Alex nodded before walking toward a nearby chair.

He quietly sat down and closed his eyes.

Although he appeared relaxed on the outside, he remained alert.

Several minutes passed peacefully.

Suddenly, the system’s notification rang inside his mind.

[Ding! A Celestial Grade light elemental talent has entered the host’s perception.]

Alex’s eyes flew open immediately.

His heartbeat accelerated.

"So quickly?"

A wave of excitement surged through his chest.

Another Celestial Grade talent had appeared before him.

Without wasting a moment, he looked toward the entrance.

A young man was slowly walking into the reception hall.

His steps were calm and composed.

Every movement carried natural confidence.

The receptionist, who had been speaking casually only moments ago, immediately lowered his posture and treated the newcomer with utmost respect, almost like a servant greeting his master.

"Sir," the receptionist said respectfully, "this is the person I mentioned."

He pointed toward Alex.

"He successfully healed an injury that no one else could cure."

The young man shifted his gaze toward Alex.

His expression remained calm.

However, an invisible aura of authority surrounded him.

Simply standing there made him seem superior to everyone present, as though he had long grown accustomed to standing above ordinary people.

Alex immediately activated his appraisal.

[Name: Berdin Gustav

Talent: Elemental Clone (Celestial) (Locked)

Realm: Fourth Grade Entity(Hyperversal)

Function: At full power, the owner can create ten elemental clones, each possessing strength comparable to the main body. As long as sufficient energy is supplied, every clone can act independently like a real person.

Current Restriction: Because the talent is partially sealed, Berdin Gustav can presently create only five clones.]

Alex could not help smiling inwardly.

"What an incredible talent."

"If he eventually unlocks its full potential, he will be able to command ten clones as powerful as himself."

"A true Celestial Grade ability."

Knowing the young man’s status, Alex stood up respectfully.

He could already tell from Berdin’s dignified bearing that offering a handshake would be inappropriate.

If he wished to touch him in the future, he would need to find another opportunity.

Berdin stopped a short distance away.

His calm eyes carefully examined Alex from head to toe.

"So."

His voice was composed.

"I heard that you possess healing abilities."

"How powerful are they?"

Alex answered confidently.

"I can completely heal a Fourth Grade Entity who has suffered life threatening injuries."

Berdin remained expressionless.

Then Alex looked directly into his eyes.

"There is corrosive darkness inside your body."

His tone was calm.

"You have been suppressing it for quite some time."

"If you allow me, I can remove it completely."

For the first time, a subtle change appeared in Berdin’s expression.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"How do you know that I am only a Fourth Grade Entity?"

His voice remained steady.

"What if I am someone above that level?"

Alex merely smiled calmly.

He did not answer.

His silence spoke louder than words.

Berdin observed him for several seconds before speaking again.

"I do not trust you."

His words were direct and without hostility.

"First, prove your healing ability."

"If you truly possess the capability that you claim, I will personally allow you to treat my injury."

He paused briefly before adding one final sentence.

"And if you genuinely succeed..."

"You will become a friend of the Gustav Family."
