SSS Ranked Shadow Monarch: Summoning Infinite Shadows

Chapter 348: Killed Her

Aren was the first to get back on his feet. He spread out his shadow sense and he saw who had attacked. It was a woman on a building, and in her hand was some sort of gun weapon. She reminded him of the lady he had fought the guardian serpent with.

The woman was not alone as well, as standing on the roof were several other Awakened, all looking right in his direction.

"Seems they have arrived," Aren muttered. He gritted his teeth and then summoned all, every shadow that he had in his army. They covered the street in an instant, creating a sea of black with glowing red eyes.

This time there was something different with all his shadows, a kind of life in their eyes that they did not have before.

When the Awakened all saw the shadows, they knew Aren was not willing to back down at all. So they all moved. From every direction, Awakened came in droves, all eager to be the one to take down the infamous shadow.

Their clash was immediately massive. Explosions ripped through the air with massive force. The humans tore through the shadows, only for the shadows to come right back and attack them again.

As long as Aren had soul energy, there was no way that they would kill his shadows. And now that he was a Shadow King, his reservoir was not little.

Fang casually stood beside Aren and so did the hydra. They looked at the same place that he was looking at, the top of the building where the woman had attacked from.

She readied her weapon again and aimed right at Aren at the center of the chaos. She was ready to take the shot, but Aren also had a plan to counter.

The moment she shot the blast of light, the hydra and Fang unleashed their attacks as well. The attacks slammed into each other in the air, creating a massive explosion.

When the flames faded, the woman looked for Aren again, but he was no longer there. She looked around in a panic, but she could not find him.

"Looking for me?"

His voice came from her side.

She jerked to her feet fast and turned her weapon, immediately unleashing a weaker blast. Aren stepped to the side and evaded the attack. He looked up and she was already attacking. She swung her gun right at his head.

Aren leaned back and dodged the gun. He barely secured his footing and she already spun her gun around and pointed it at him again. She pulled the trigger and a blast ripped out. Aren took the blast, it slammed into his shadow armor and hurled him back.

He hit the ground hard and rolled to a stop on one knee. He looked up and she was in the air, swinging her gun down while it was charging with a blast.

He rolled out of the way and the mouth of her gun hit the ground before a blast ripped off right into the building.

BOOM!

That side of the building immediately began collapsing right there.

Aren got on his feet. He used tendrils to attack, latching onto her and forcing her gun out of her hands. But she was not done, as suddenly from her chest, a blast ripped out. He did not expect it. It slammed into him and hurled him back. He slammed into a vent hard and she dropped to the ground.

She got back on her feet and picked up her gun again. It was clear she had enough tools to ensure that she was not captured. Aren got to his feet again. He cracked his neck and then smiled at her, but it was hidden behind the mask.

"You are really proving to be an issue for me, but that’s enough for now." He stepped his foot on the ground and shadow spread out, covering under her feet and the tendrils began rushing out and latching onto her. She refused to allow it and used her chest to blast in a circle, cutting through the tendrils.

The tendrils kept forming fast. She responded by unleashing a barrage of shots from inside there, but the shadows kept getting close.

Then from nowhere, a hand dug into the shadows and grabbed her by the neck before hurling her out and right into the vent as well. It was Aren. He stood there looking at her struggle to get back on her feet.

He walked close and kicked her gun to the side. She gritted her teeth and tried to use her chest as well, but he stepped on it with full force, cracking whatever device was there.

"Arhhhhhhhh!" she screamed in pain.

He looked at her dismissively and then bent down. "I have the feeling you are pretty important," he said and then grabbed her by the hair. He dragged her to the edge and then raised her for all to see by her hair.

One by one, every Awakened stopped and saw Aren standing with her there.

"I’ll make this clear once," Aren yelled, his voice managing to reach each and every one of them.

"Allow us through with no issue and she will survive, else, she will be the first to die."

Every Awakened there froze. They did not know what to do. She was indeed someone that was very important.

"Don’t, don’t stop!" she suddenly yelled. "Make sure you kill Shadow!" she roared.

Aren looked at her and frowned. "Fine," he muttered, and then with his hand that had the wolf guard, he thrust it in and stabbed her from behind. His hand burst out of the front, blood pouring from her like a fountain as they all watched the light leave her eyes.

Aiden, Zero, Athena, they had all killed and seen Aren kill, but for some reason, this particular one immediately gave them a very bad feeling, one that clung to their hearts and didn’t let go.

Aren let her body go. It fell from the building top and hit the ground. He stood there at the top with a red glow showing from behind his mask.
