Chapter 655 - 218: Greenskins Battle the Insect Race, Qin Feng the Oriole

Cang, Mobi, Flame Crow, and Leng Yu. All four of them were monstrous beings, ranked in the top ten on the Galaxy 117 Combat Power list! Just as Qin Feng thought the four were about to team up and break into the secret realm, the unexpected happened. A suffocatingly heavy roar echoed from the distant horizon, as if an invisible titan was striding across the Star River, slowly drawing near. Then, a colossal sphere, large enough to blot out the sun, tore through the atmosphere of the Heart of Rot and materialized above the planet’s surface! It was a metal moon converted into a War Fortress, its surface plastered with ferocious and grotesque Green-skinned Orc graffiti. Countless menacing cannon muzzles and crude yet brutally aesthetic war vehicles packed every inch of its surface. An aura of chaos, savagery, and terror—one that existed only for the "WAAAGH!"—crashed down and blanketed everything. "Battle Moon!" Hiding deep in the valley, Qin Feng’s mind reeled. He never would have imagined that the plan of Cang and his three companions was to team up with this planet’s natives—the fanatical Green-skinned Orcs! The Battle Moon, covered in its ferocious graffiti, hung domineeringly in the low orbit of the Heart of Rot. The shadow it cast was so immense that it nearly enveloped the entire secret realm within the crater. A primitive, chaotic "WAAAGH!" field—one that existed for nothing but pure violence and War—swept across the region for tens of thousands of miles like an invisible storm. A possibility that not only Qin Feng but also the hundred thousand-plus contestants before him had overlooked now presented itself in the most shocking way imaginable. ’So that’s how it is... So that’s how it is!’ Countless clues instantly connected in Qin Feng’s mind, forming a complete and self-consistent line of reasoning. ’This planet is, in itself, a giant battlefield. The endless Green-skinned Orcs and the Insect Race pouring out from the secret realm have been slaughtering each other here for who knows how many ages.’ ’For us outsiders, the Planet-level Martial Artists, there appeared to be only one way to seize the Constant Star-level opportunity within the Insect Nest. That was to gather all the contestants here, form a massive allied army of over a hundred thousand, and use our absolute numerical superiority to storm the inside of the Insect Nest.’ ’But obviously, that plan is impossible to execute.’ Qin Feng’s eyes sharpened.’The contestants are suspicious and distrustful of one another. No one is willing to pave the way for someone else to reap the rewards. Cang’s previous, failed attempt at forming an alliance is the best proof of this.’ ’So, there’s a second way. A more covert, more insane method that isn’t easily noticed...’ ’And that is to cooperate with the Greenskins!’ Having figured this out, Qin Feng couldn’t help but marvel inwardly. He had to admit that Cang, who had always struck him as profound and inscrutable, was truly a force to be reckoned with. This courage and vision to think outside the box and dare to take such a risk was far beyond what any ordinary prodigy could match. At least, Qin Feng himself had never considered dealing with these chaotic and fanatical Green-skinned Orcs. But now, with this possibility laid out before him, he mulled it over and immediately realized the plan’s chances of success were, in fact, incredibly high! Of course, the associated risks were also enormous. First, and most critically, the Green-skinned Orcs were a powerful asset that could not be ignored. The fact that they had fought the Insect Race, with its Constant Star-level Nest, on this planet for so many years—and even seemed to have the upper hand—was a testament to their strength. It proved that, at least below the very highest level of Combat Power, they were more than capable of contending with the insect tide. Unleashing this force against the Insect Nest was undoubtedly a brilliant scheme, a classic case of using one enemy to deal with another. Second, the Green-skinned Orc race had a deep-seated obsession. They possessed an almost pathological, fanatical, and religious-like craving for a "WAAAGH!"—a satisfying, earth-shattering, knock-down-drag-out great Battle. In the long history of the human Empire, there was no shortage of audacious generals or adventurers who had set classic precedents. By promising a certain Green-skinned Tribe a "properly massive" WAAAGH!, they managed to secure temporary cooperation with these chaotic creatures, using them to assault even more difficult enemies. Cang’s plan was clearly a re-creation of this historical precedent. The final point was the risk. Working with the Greenskins was tantamount to asking a tiger for its hide. Although the race’s behavior seemed utterly irrational, at times even comically stupid, their true nature was both cruel and cunning, cunning and cruel. No one knew what chaotic and lethal schemes lay hidden beneath their seemingly idiotic exteriors. Fighting shoulder-to-shoulder one moment and stabbing you in the back the next—for the Greenskins, this was simply business as usual. Qin Feng weighed all the pros and cons in his mind and ultimately decided to remain hidden and bide his time. He suppressed his aura to the absolute limit, compressing the fluctuations of his Mental Power until they were undetectable, becoming like an inert stone in the barren mountain range. ’Thankfully, I absorbed all of Lang Qi’s and Wolf Ten’s resources during my seclusion. My strength took another huge leap forward, solidly placing me in the top ten of the Combat Power rankings. Otherwise, with my previous strength, I doubt I could have escaped the notice of Cang and his group at such a close distance.’
