Chapter 1924 - 383: The Distant Horizon They Pursue XXII_2
The other party didn't even glance in this direction, their cold gaze merely akin to a falcon, scanning the island below.
Finally, there was Princess Rupert. Fang Hong was somewhat surprised to see that the princess had her eyes tightly closed, appearing unconscious, with no perception of her surroundings.
It seemed as though there was a peculiar force protecting the four of them, preventing them from being scattered by the fierce wind of the Sky Sea. Fang Hong noticed the star-like bits of green light around them and roughly identified the source of this power, perhaps related to the crystal that transported them here.
"What's wrong with the princess?" Fang Hong started to speak, but the strong wind rushed in, causing him to sound like he was leaking air. He quickly closed his mouth, yet the wind continued to make his face flap loudly.
Ye Hua seemed quite experienced, managing to speak without opening his mouth too much, "It's a normal phenomenon; she'll wake up soon, don't worry."
Fang Hong then recalled the Ranger Ten Kings had said something similar earlier, and the other party seemed surprised that he had awakened so quickly.
He subconsciously remembered what had happened before, as if encased in that green light his mind had momentarily blanked, and when he regained consciousness, he was already here.
Ye Hua appeared to detect his confusion, "Entering this world relies on the soul, and for the first time, the soul undergoes significant disturbance, which is difficult for the average person to bear. Even with the Dragon Soul Shelter, it's quite the burden—"
His gaze fell on Fang Hong, flashing with curiosity, "It seems that your Dragon Soul has quite the origin. As far as I know, only the Nature Dragon Spirit has such level, but from your displayed abilities, you don't seem related to the Sky Knight lineage—"
Fang Hong slightly widened his eyes, looking at the other incredulously.
Though he didn't verbalize it, his expression clearly conveyed his thoughts, and Ye Hua couldn't help but chuckle silently; he hadn't seen such a charming young person for years.
"With your use of Flying Claw and Fire Giant, there's no one else besides you who could manage it," he said with a smile. "You don't think that your performance beneath Fenris went unnoticed as Dragon Soul abilities, did you?"
Fang Hong suddenly realized, scratching his head; the military and Chairman Phales must have identified him similarly.
It's not that he didn't learn from it, but upon reflecting, during the confrontation with the King of the Sand Thief, he had no other means left. He couldn't just let them know about his identity and sit waiting, could he?
Faced with the other's gaze, he could only nod.
Ye Hua's eyes revealed a 'so it's like that' expression, and he continued, "Outsiders believe your abilities stem from the Hailin Crown, but I suspect your Dragon Soul might be related to the Witch of the Sea. I've heard she has a Dragon Soul Fragment and didn't expect it to be in your hands—did you exchange the Hailin Crown with her?"
Fang Hong called out in amazement, aside from the part about the Hailin Crown, this Ranger Ten Kings had almost guessed the incident back then accurately.
Originally, he had a bit of a hopeful thought that what happened would remain a secret, unknown to anyone. Yet, the former Chairman of the Southern Alliance could detect some clues from it, naturally others might as well.
Especially among the original witnesses, there was someone like KUN, claiming to be the All-Knower.
He nodded carefully.
Ye Hua smiled, "This is your fortune; with strong Dragon Soul Power, you'll find it easier when facing such scenarios in the future."
"The future?"
"Nothing much, you'll become accustomed to it soon."
Fang Hong was slightly puzzled, some of the words were incomprehensible.
In his perspective, Ye Hua seemed very familiar with this place, which wasn't too surprising considering he was collaborating with Barbaltan; perhaps he already knew about it.
But listening to Ye Hua's tone, it sounded like Fang Hong would return here multiple times, what was this about?
He couldn't resist asking, "What exactly is this place?"
"It's just a Half-plane," answered the Alchemist, whose gaze was focused on that island, speaking softly, "Between the Ether Realm and the First World, the island serves as their base point."
'They'?
But after saying this, the Alchemist didn't interact further.
Fang Hong felt muddled, but at least understood that the island below was their destination.
During their small talk, they descended several thousand feet, the island occupying a third of their vision; the jungles and rivers on the island were distinct.
Listening to the wind rushing past his ears, Fang Hong suddenly felt uneasy. He raised his head and managed to ask with a leaky voice, "Are we going to crash directly?"
"Don't worry," Ye Hua chuckled, "you won't fall straight down; we have a way to land."
From Ye Hua's tone, Fang Hong discerned that this Ranger Ten Kings and the Star had been here several times. Calming himself a bit, he asked, "Have you been here before?"
Ye Hua nodded.
But the response came from Star, "I've been here a few times during experiments, but not at this place."
At this point, Fang Hong saw the Yinhanz Four beside the other, and instinctively reached for his chest's Information Crystal. Touching the cold surface of the crystal calmed his mind.
The other could summon Constructs here, and naturally Fang Hong could as well. Flexible Constructs are as important to a Combat Artisan as Weapons are to a warrior.
