Chapter 1976 - 1976: Prologue: Star, Seven Seas Travel Group, and Daily Life_3
"Since the corridor doesn't extend to the stern, the ladies' rooms are actually a bit larger than the men's. That small space has been transformed into an adjoining bathroom, so the girls don't have to go to the communal one. Isn't that convenient?"
"So, you could say our Lord Captain is quite considerate and gentlemanly, right?"
"Moreover, each room can accommodate four people. Over here, it's me, Miss Atira, Gita, and Miss Elisa's room... Miss Elisa, care to say hello to everyone?"
Miss Nightingale smiled and glanced over, "Tianlan, if you don't hurry up and get out, I'll have to teach you a lesson."
Tianlan stuck out her tongue in fright and hurried out.
In the other room were Xiesta, Ai Xiaoxiao, and Tang Xin.
However, Xiesta wasn't there. Tianlan was naturally a bit afraid of the stern Tang Xin. Besides, that room was much tidier than hers, to the point of being meticulous, and lacked much of a feminine touch; not much to photograph save for Ai Xiaoxiao's adorably decorated bed—
So she exchanged a glance with her new friend and left. Actually, Ai Xiaoxiao was under Tang Xin's supervision, completing her long-overdue holiday assignments.
Though, who knows how much time beyond the holiday had passed.
The men's quarters housed Big Catfolk, Parker, Luo Yu, and Xiangzi in one room, while Pasha, Bakins, and Luo Hao occupied the other.
Tianlan, daring as she was, knowing Bakins and Pasha weren't in, sneakily pushed open the men's dorm to take a peek.
She had wanted to see it for some time, but was greatly disappointed; inside, it wasn't filled with the chaotic mess she imagined, but was rather tidy instead.
However, the men's quarters were somewhat different from the women's. Besides a more monotonous feel and almost no decorations, there were more weapons and armor.
A few shields, two spare Magic Guided Reactors, books, and various weapons. Finding it boring, Tianlan closed the door and wanted to open the one on the other side.
But as soon as she opened the door, she was blocked by Big Catfolk at the entrance. Reed lowered his head to look at the little girl and smiled, "Tianlan, what sneaky business are you up to this time?"
"I-I'm filming a documentary for the Seven Seas Traveler," the girl shifted her eyes around, mumbling her reply.
The Lion Paladin didn't believe her, "You'd better inform Ade first."
"I know, I know." Tianlan quickly put away her camera and fled in panic.
Since she couldn't film the quarters, she decided to head to the front section of the deck.
So Xiesta watched the little girl mutter to herself as she walked across the mid-deck—
Tianlan narrated as she walked, "The front section of the deck mainly consists of the Prayer Room, medical office, Miss Atira's magic potion cultivation room, a small nursery, kitchen, and Anchor Room. Oh, and there's the Map Room and the Captain's Room on the upper deck; I'll show you those later."
She talked while pushing open a door, what appeared on screen first were dense pipelines, intricate Magic Guided Instruments, and a massive Core Crystal laid lengthwise in the center of the cabin—with a row of azure wind crystals on either side.
At this moment, Tianlan exclaimed, "Oh no, I almost forgot!"
Then, the camera shook once more, and after a while, a white paper note appeared in the center of the screen, with a circle drawn and a cross marked on it.
Upon closer examination, there was a line of small text beside it:
'Too confidential to display—'
"Almost forgot," Tianlan's voice came from outside the screen, "This part can't be filmed... it's the core part of the Seven Seas Traveler, the Lift Cabin Section and Core Crystal Cabin, but I can introduce it to you—normally, there are three people stationed here day and night to ensure its normal operation. And one of them, as you saw earlier, is that lovely Miss, who I'll introduce, her name is Gita, and she's an incredibly rare Natural Historian, isn't that impressive?"
"...Besides the Main Core Crystal, the lift engine, there's also a boiler here, which uses the excess heat from the engine to heat water, providing hot water and heating for the entire ship. This is Brother Ade's modification, making our boiler unnecessary to have open flames on the previous platform, which not only increases safety but also, fuel resources aren't as easy to store in the Sky Sea as they were before—"
"Oh, by the way, Brother Ade is the ship's Chief Great Alchemist, and also the Captain."
"In short, this is the most crucial part of the Seven Seas Traveler, and of course, it's not easy to attack. Both sides are equipped with additional armor, able to withstand several rounds of bombardment. The reinforced armor belt even stretches to the Meditation Room at the front—hmm, that's all I'll say here; the specific parameters can't be revealed. Next, I'll take you to see the medical office—"
Only then did Tianlan put away the note and push the door open.
It was evidently a Prayer Room, with a grand pipe organ at the side. Bright candle flames illuminated the golden organ pipes and the dark wooden carvings.
The Milaila Statue on one side was embedded in a shrine, flanked by elaborate decorations and layers of drapes, giving the entire room a solemn and sacred ambiance.
Tianlan filmed a circle around with the camera before saying, "This is the Meditation Room, Prayer Room, whatever you wish to call it, it's the resurrection point on the ship. The stored Holy Energy is enough for about twenty people to resurrect several times; specifics can't be disclosed, as it's classified as well. This area is also particularly protected, its defenses on par with the previous core cabins."
