Chapter 1987 - 3: An Assault Report (Part 2)

Hilveld nodded with a smile, glancing at Fang Hong, who also left his position, holding the delicate hand of his Miss Ship's Officer, and they walked out together.

Xiesta hesitated after hearing Tianlan's words, and followed. "Wow," Tianlan seemed extremely happy, her little mouth sweet as honey: "Miss Xiesta, you look so beautiful today."

Miss Maid looked at her, curled her metal finger and lightly flicked her forehead with a 'boop', "Stop being cheeky." Tianlan cried 'ouch', holding her head, tears welling up.

Fang Hong walked out holding his Miss Ship's Officer's hand, and a vast white sea of clouds slowly unfolded before him, filling his chest with the aroma of the sky sea, and when he took a light breath, it was almost intoxicating in its richness.

He wasn't unaccustomed to sailing above the sky sea, nor was everyone else on the ship, but on their own ship, the feeling was entirely different. His steps were light as if floating, as if truly walking on the clouds.

At this moment, the mood of everyone on the Seven Seas Travel Group shared similarities, more or less.

The Big Cat leaped down from the mast, glanced at his and Hilveld's intertwined fingers with a smile, "Our Lord Captain, all's on track now."

Fang Hong felt a bit embarrassed, grinning foolishly on his face.

Hilveld found it amusing watching from the side, unable to stop herself from smirking.

The shipyard was getting smaller behind the Seven Seas Traveler, but one could still see the tiny figures slowly flooding in beyond the shipyard's walls.

But they no longer posed any threat to the Traveler in the sky, and the arcanists in purple robes could only look up, powerlessly watching as the airship raised its white sails, flying higher and higher.

Fang Hong also saw those walking out from the shipyard.

Among them were certainly Lady Aierna, that adorable Dwarf Master, and the shipworkers familiar to them, who contributed to the birth of the Seven Seas Traveler.

But it was impossible to distinguish each individual's face.

People gazed up looking in this direction, perhaps with a sense of farewell.

"Goodbye, Istania."

Fang Hong said silently in his heart.

His gaze landed on the tall white spire of the Cloud Lighthouse, saw the Tansnier Crafting Association floating mid-air, and glimpsed the busy airport built on a cliffside of the continent in this city.

Various flying beasts of burden, pterosaurs, and wind-wing fishing boats, airships, were busily coming and going.

There, two small Port Authority boats were putting up silver sails, heading this way, appearing to wish to inquire about their intentions, but soon turned back around, as if receiving some instructions, heading back the way they came.

Fang Hong lifted his head to look in that direction, naturally understanding this was the Grand Princess's last help to them, as Miss Natural Historian's soft voice came through the sound transmission tube set at the ship's side—

"Brother Ade... no, Lord Captain, there's a Wind Element response to the northwest..."

Fang Hong turned back, looking at the cloud wall hanging in the northwest. The ship was equipped with a small Wind Element Detector; it wasn't a question of expense but rather taking up too much space. This was the only pocket-sized detector they transported from the Quistack Artisan Association, yet even it occupied nearly a third of the Magic Guided Pod's space.

But because it was pocket-sized, its functions were extremely limited, with a detection range of scarcely over thirty nautical miles, which even good visibility could almost be seen with the naked eye. Therefore, it was only useful in obstructed visibility, harsh weather, and at night.

Not to mention determining coordinates, it couldn't even ascertain the general number or distance of Wind Element sources, let alone relative speed.

However, once it sounded, it at least indicated that an airship or flying creature had approached very close.

There were no fixed routes to the northwest, aside from sky pirates or creatures patrolling the sky sea, only Colin people's fleet could appear in that direction.

In fact, Fang Hong strained to look into the distance, already seeing three sharp-bowed, silver-sailed wind ships breaking through the clouds at full speed appearing at the Seven Seas Traveler's five o'clock direction.

He immediately recognized them as Colin Ishurian Alliance's sixth-class escort ships, Swordfish Level, an old model that entered service thirty years ago, yet from a performance standpoint, the Seven Seas Traveler couldn't compete.

At full speed, its speed could reach fifteen knots; with a tailwind, the Seven Seas Traveler could hardly outrun it. However, there was a cloud wall to the south of Tansnier—any cloud wall over ten nautical miles thick could block Wind Element detection, and as long as the Seven Seas Traveler entered the cloud wall, it could escape pursuit.

But before that—

Fang Hong moved to the other side of the Seven Seas Traveler, and Hilveld, sensing something, released his hand and followed behind. The airship was parallelly clearing Tansnier's airport, and the silver artillery built on the cliff in that direction came into everyone's view.

Fang Hong pointed in that direction, ordering: "Open fire on the Tansnier artillery, but don't aim to hit, just at the cliffs below. Also, declare our intentions to them, we are here to avenge Seniman!"
