With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1519: A strange misunderstanding

That glow became stronger and stronger until the words floated off the page.

It was the same phenomenon that had already happened several times before.

Once the glow around the words became strong enough, the words suddenly leaped off the page and condensed in the air.

At first, it didn’t seem like there was anything that was going to happen to these words that just remained floating there. But then they started to spin as if they had been caught inside of something.

The spinning of these words continued to gain speed until it became something that was like a tornado. However, this wasn’t the only phenomenon that was caused by these words.

Even the space around the words seemed to start changing with how it looked like a storm was developing in that space.

But all of this was because of the very nature of the poem.

The topic that had been proposed was just ’storm’. There were no extra words that had been added to it, the task was to create a poem that would perfectly embody the very essence of a storm.

Which was why Lin Fan had chosen a famous poem from his past life about the fear that a child felt towards a storm on the sea.

That fear was what created this perfect representation of a storm right now.

The storm that had been created by the words was a perfect storm that seemed capable of ripping apart all life. It was the kind of storm that everyone had encountered once in their life, a storm that would leave a deep impression on them.

With the phenomenon being this strong, one could easily imagine just what level the poem was at.

As the storm raged, it seemed to even collapse in on itself as if the phenomenon couldn’t hold the power of the storm.

This wasn’t just because of the quality of the poem alone, this was the emotion of fear towards the storm that was captured inside of this poem.

It filled this phenomenon with the power that was worthy of this fear.

Once the phenomenon collapsed upon itself, it disappeared without leaving behind a single trace. If one hadn’t seen the phenomenon just now, they wouldn’t have thought that it had existed.

After the phenomenon disappeared, there wasn’t a single person that said anything.

After all, none of them could put the feelings that they felt into words.

This storm that had appeared in front of them had left a deep impression on them.

But that silence was soon broken by the same booming voice as before.

"Perfect! Wonderful! Spectacular!"

It didn’t seem like this voice had a lack for words when it came to ways to describe Lin Fan’s poem. At the same time, the passion that was in this voice showed just how moved they were by this poem.

This lasted a while before the voice finally seemed to calm down and silence filled this hall once more.

The three of them had no idea what the owner of the voice was going to do next.

Or perhaps it was better to say that they didn’t know what the owner of the voice was capable of since they had never seen this kind of cultivation technique before.

Even if they had seen cultivation techniques that relied on poetry, it wasn’t as if they had ever seen anything that had been cultivated to a level like this.

Which was why they didn’t dare be negligent towards what was possible.

After a moment of silence, the table that was in front of them started to disappear once more. This was the same as what happened before where the table broke down into words and faded away.

Only this time, there wasn’t anything that replaced it.

"Click."

Instead, there was this sound that came from the side which revealed that a door had opened behind one of the pillars of this hall. This was a door that seemed to lead to an inconspicuous side room with how it was placed.

Lin Fan’s group didn’t head through that door at first, but it didn’t seem like anything was going to happen if they didn’t go through the door.

Which was why eventually Lin Fan led the way forward.

The other two didn’t mind this, they had even been looking at him as if they were urging him to go first since he was the one that had answered those questions in the first place.

When he entered the room, he found that this place wasn’t that big to begin with.

But there was one thing that was unique about this room.

It was filled with letters.

On every wall of this room, there were pieces of paper that had large words written on them stuck to the wall. If one just looked at the words normally, they wouldn’t be able to find anything special about them.

However, Lin Fan’s system seemed to come to life the moment that he stepped into this room. It started piecing together all of the different words that were scattered on the walls into a single poem.

When Lin Fan saw the completed poem, even someone like him couldn’t help being moved by it. After all, this was a poem that even left a deep impression on someone as ignorant as him.

Just that alone was enough to show just how special of a poem this was.

But Lin Fan didn’t really have the time to fully appreciate this as there was a figure that appeared in front of him.

When he saw this figure, he could already guess who it was and what it was going to do.

Though in the end, he was wrong about this.

Before Lin Fan could react, the figure was already in front of him and had grabbed him by the shoulders.

While holding him by the shoulders like this, Lin Fan could see the pair of excited eyes getting closer and closer.

Then when the elder was right up in front of him, he finally said, "How did you come up with that poem?"

The obsession in his eyes was clear and it even scared Lin Fan a little with how strong this obsession was. It made him feel as if this elder was willing to do anything to get the answer that he wanted.

Being the target of that obsession just made it much worse.

Taking a deep breath, Lin Fan just admitted, "I don’t know how I came up with it. It just came to me after seeing your poems."

With the way that Lin Fan said this, it made it very clear that he really didn’t know anything. As well, it even made it seem like Lin Fan was lying about this as if he was trying to keep a secret.

The elder froze for a moment when he heard this before looking at Lin Fan with a strange look.

Lin Fan gave an internal sigh when he saw this, but at least it meant that he would feel a bit safer talking to this elder. Only it turned out that he had been completely wrong about what this look from the elder meant.

"So you were a genius after all!" A wide smile appeared on the elder’s face when he said this.

A wry smile appeared on Lin Fan’s face when he heard this, but he said, "I think you’ve misunderstood something."

It was just that the elder didn’t seem like he was willing to listen with how he continued to talk about how much of a genius Lin Fan was.

Behind him, even Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu were looking at him as if they were wondering if what the elder said was true.

After all, they had seen Lin Fan come up with these poems all of a sudden and they had never seen him with talent in this field before. This really did seem like he had suddenly come to some kind of enlightenment.

He most likely had this talent, but just never had the chance to show it.

Only Lin Fan knew that this wasn’t the truth.

But even if he wanted to deny this, it wasn’t as if there was anything he could say since the truth involved something he didn’t want to reveal. Not to mention that even if he did reveal it, it wasn’t as if anyone would believe him.

"I have an otherworldly system that can do all kinds of things for me."

They would immediately judge him as someone crazy, especially if he said that the system allowed him to see the words floating.

So with a wry smile, all Lin Fan could say was, "I really don’t think that I’m a genius. I was just lucky."

But no matter how he tried to deny it, it seemed like the elder was completely convinced that Lin Fan was some kind of genius when it came to poetry. With the elder convinced that he was a genius, he didn’t hesitate to show the other poems that he had written.

There were several drawers in this room and they were all filled with pieces of paper.

Taking them out, Lin Fan could see that these pieces of paper were covered in words that represented many hours of effort from the elder.

At the same time, he could also see the guidance of the system.

It seemed like poems of this level were enough to activate the guidance of the system, but Lin Fan still didn’t really understand why the system would activate for something like this.
