Chapter 1516: You don’t know anything

The items in this room didn’t seem that special in terms of appearance, but there was this aura that came from them that showed what kind of items they were.

But the fact that these items gave off this aura was a bit confusing.

Turning to look at the elder, the elder just ignored the way that the three of them were staring at her.

Instead, it seemed like the elder was focused on something else as she went forward into this room.

After walking forward for a bit, the elder suddenly stopped in front of a wall.

It didn’t seem like there was anything special about this wall, but it wasn’t as if the elder would go up to a random wall for nothing. One could even see the look on Ye Qing Huan’s face that showed that she already knew what was there.

With a few taps on the wall, there was a secret panel that opened up and revealed what seemed to be a bookcase. It wasn’t a large space that was hidden behind the panel, it was just big enough that a few books were stored there.

After opening up the panel, the elder just brought the books over as if she wanted them to take a look. However, the one that she handed them to wasn’t Xiao Mu or Ye Qing Huan, the one that she handed them to was Lin Fan.

Lin Fan had an awkward look on his face seeing the elder do this, but it didn’t seem like Xiao Mu or Ye Qing Huan were questioning the elder when she did this.

It even seemed like the two of them were waiting to see what his reaction to this would be.

Or it was better to say that they were waiting to see what he would say about this.

In the end, Lin Fan just said with a sigh, "I really don’t know anything at all. There’s no point in looking at me like this."

The elder didn’t seem convinced as she said, "If you can bring out those things, then it’s certain that you would be able to help bring our music to another level."

Neither Xiao Mu or Ye Qing Huan looked like they were going to help him.

Lin Fan just shook his head with a bitter smile seeing this since he could tell why they were doing this. It was their way of seeing what he was hiding, to see what it was that allowed him to bring out everything that he had brought out just now.

"I really don’t know a single thing, those things came to me through luck."

When it didn’t seem like they believed him, Lin Fan took out one more thing for them.

The moment that they saw this, they had no idea what it was that he was holding. After all, this kind of thing was completely unfamiliar to them.

Lin Fan couldn’t help taking note of Xiao Mu’s reaction the most.

He couldn’t help feeling that it was a bit strange that even Xiao Mu didn’t recognize this. After all, this was something that was made with technology that was at a lower level than what was used to make Xiao Mu.

As the song played from the device that Lin Fan took out, she was following along with the music sheet. Both Xiao Mu and the elder went over to her side as well and with the way that they looked at the music sheet, it was clear that they were doing the same thing as Ye Qing Huan.

When it was over, that was when Lin Fan said, "See, this is something that I obtaIned by chance in a dungeon. This isn’t something that I came up with."

When he brought out all of this, they really had no choice but to believe what he said.

Though it seemed like their attention had been turned to something else.

They were looking at the thing that Lin Fan took out, as if they were trying to figure out how it was made.

The way that this thing played the song was different from anything that they had seen before, so they were wondering how this thing worked.

But when Lin Fan saw Xiao Mu staring at this disc player, he really didn’t know how to feel.

The technology that was used to create this thing was on a much lower level than what was used in Xiao Mu. Yet for Xiao Mu to not recognize this thing, it really felt like it was a bit ironic.

"Whatever the Dao Sect obtained from the other continent is incomplete. They only have information on technology that’s high level, but they don’t have anything on technology that would be considered obsolete."

Thinking about it, it made sense considering that this was something that the Dao Sect most likely looted. The things that they obtained were considered top of the line on the other continent, or they wouldn’t have been deployed.

It really was an issue of only getting loot and not understanding it for themselves.

Once they were done looking at it, the way that they looked at Lin Fan changed.

They were no longer looking at him as if they were expecting anything from him.

Even though Ye Qing Huan tried to hide it, it was hard to hide the trace of disappointment that was in her eyes.

As for Xiao Mu and the elder, they didn’t bother hiding it at all.

That just made the bitter smile on Lin Fan’s face fill with even more bitterness, but he didn’t bother explaining himself.

Since he had already shown them all of this, it wasn’t as if there was anything else that they could say about this. The only thing that they could do now was analyze the disc player that Lin Fan took out.

But even that thing was just obsolete technology that didn’t take Xiao Mu long to figure out.

With the technology that Xiao Mu had, it was easy for it to draw the similarities between them. Lin Fan already knew that this was the case, but he didn’t say anything since he wanted to see how Xiao Mu would act around this disc player.

With that mystery solved, it didn’t seem like there was anything left that was keeping the elder here.

But unlike the other elders that were satisfied when they left, it seemed like this elder wasn’t able to leave with the same feeling.

Only it wasn’t as if Lin Fan could do anything to help this elder.

Unlike with the other elders, he really didn’t have any talent for what the elder was passing down. So in the end, he could only do his best to take out another disc for the elder.

"This is..." A smile slowly appeared on the elder’s face before she faded away.

It seemed like at the final moment, she finally saw something that was enough to satisfy her.

Lin Fan didn’t know if this thing would work, but he knew that this song was quite highly evaluated in his past life. So that was the reason that he thought that it would be enough to satisfy this elder.

After the elder was gone, Ye Qing Huan suddenly asked, "Why didn’t you take this out sooner?"

The blaming tone in her voice made it very clear what she was accusing Lin Fan of.
