With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1517: Words in the air

In the end, there wasn’t anything that they took from this place.

It wasn’t that there wasn’t anything special, it was just that none of the things in this place really suited them.

With how many things that they had already obtained from this Dao Sect ruins, it really wasn’t as if it mattered if they missed the ones from this pavilion.

Though there was a part of Ye Qing Huan that felt guilty since these things were entrusted to them.

"We’ll come back for them later, it’s not as if we can carry everything with us, right? It just isn’t efficient at all."

Ye Qing Huan agreed with this, but there was still a part of her that felt guilty about leaving behind something that was entrusted to her.

Following Xiao Mu, it didn’t take them long to arrive at the next pavilion. But the moment that they arrived, they couldn’t help finding that there was something strange about this place.

It was actually something that could be seen with the naked eye, which meant that they noticed it as soon as the barrier was lifted.

But even if they could see it, it wasn’t as if they could understand what these things were.

"Why are there these words floating in the air?"

It wasn’t as if anyone had an answer to this since they were all equally confused by what was in front of them. This was something that they had never encountered before, so it was only normal that they would be confused about this.

Though to be fair, it wasn’t something that normal cultivators would have contact with in the first place.

These words that were floating in the air were considered a special formation that had been placed to protect this place.

Unless one was able to decipher the meaning of these floating words, they wouldn’t be able to enter this pavilion.

So just based on this alone, this pavilion was different from all of the other pavilions that they had encountered before. It seemed like whoever had created this pavilion had a certain level of expectation of those that would be able to enter.

It took a while for Lin Fan to realize what these words were.

At first, he had tried using his Appraisal Eyes on each of the words that had been floating there. However, he soon realized that this was a mistake since each word was only a part of a whole.

So using the Appraisal Eyes like this only meant that he was only seeing parts of what this thing really was.

Only when he stepped back and spread his vision out that he finally saw what it was.

With the Appraisal Eyes showing him the order, he was able to tell that this was actually a poem.

But even if he figured out that this was a poem, it wasn’t as if he actually had an idea of how to break through this protective array.

That was until a voice suddenly rang out.

"Poetry guidance system activated."

A bitter feeling filled Lin Fan when he heard this before he couldn’t help silently complain, "What exactly is the requirement to activate you?"

But of course, there was no answer that came from the system.

Instead, the system just helped him arrange the words until they formed a poem for him. Then following the syntax of that poem, they created the answer to the question posed by this poem.

Seeing this poem that had been placed in front of him, Lin Fan couldn’t help hesitating.

It wasn’t that he didn’t think that the system was correct, it was just that he really didn’t know how to pretend anymore. It was one thing to take out special cultivation items since he could just explain it by saying that he had obtained them by chance.

But to suddenly recite limericks and to give a precise answer to the poem that was written here, it really was hard to explain.

Especially since Ye Qing Huan already knew what he was capable of.

They had spent enough time together that Ye Qing Huan would know something as simple as this about him, so it really was hard for him to pretend.

"Can you figure it out?" Lin Fan asked Ye Qing Huan all of a sudden.

However, it didn’t seem like she had an answer with the way that she shook her head.

The look on her face showed that she had been able to figure out the same thing as Lin Fan about the nature of this poem formation, but she just wasn’t able to actually figure out the answer.

As for Xiao Mu, it seemed like it didn’t have any idea at all.

This was strange since Xiao Mu should have had access to the database of the Dao Sect which contained all of the knowledge from the Dao Sect. But it looked like Xiao Mu was completely confused about this.

When it saw how Lin Fan looked at it, Xiao Mu actually explained, "It’s locked. I can’t access this information."

Lin Fan was surprised to hear this, but then he figured out what it was.

Just like how they had put up this array to test those that wanted to enter, it seemed like they had enough pride that they didn’t let the training hall elder access this with his AI.

In the end, this was nothing more than a display of pride by those that had built this place. They were the ones that had dedicated their lives to the words they wrote, so they didn’t give them up that easily.

Which was why Lin Fan had no choice but to recite the poem that the system prepared for him.

The moment that he did, there was a reaction that came from the words floating in the air.

At first, it was just a faint glow that came from those words. But then as the glow became stronger, they suddenly started to rearrange themselves in a way that seemed to respond to the poem that Lin Fan recited.

In a way, it was transforming from the poem that they represented previously to the poem that Lin Fan had just said out loud.

Once it had fully transformed, it suddenly exploded.

Though it exploded, it wasn’t as if there was anything dangerous about this explosion since this was nothing more than a show. This was just a burst of colour that was to represent that the trial had been passed.

After this explosion, the door to the pavilion opened and the way forward was cleared.

But no one took a step forward.

Instead, both Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu looked at Lin Fan with gazes as if they were waiting for him to explain what had just happened. They both knew that Lin Fan didn’t have this kind of talent, so they wanted to know how he suddenly came up with this poem.

Lin Fan didn’t look at them directly, but it was hard to hide the awkward look that appeared on his face.

After all, it wasn’t as if he could just tell them that his system told him.

After a long silence, he finally said, "Would you believe it if I said that I came up with this on my own?"

With the way that Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu looked at him, it was clear that they didn’t believe these words.

So the only thing that Lin Fan could say is, "I was able to come up with it, I really don’t know what else to say. Even if you doubt me, it isn’t as if I have another answer for you."

There was an awkward silence that lingered in the air before Xiao Mu suddenly moved forward. When Ye Qing Huan saw this, she also followed Xiao Mu forward, though it was clear that she still had her doubts.

Lin Fan let out a secret sigh of relief, but he didn’t relax yet.

Since this was the trial that was placed in front of them before they even entered the pavilion, one could imagine just how much harder the following questions would be.

If that was the case, then it really was going to be hard for him to explain how he had come up with these poems.

Once they entered the pavilion, they found that there wasn’t anything special here.

It wasn’t because this place was designed in a way to hide what was special about it, it was a purely aesthetic choice to decorate the hall this way. After all, this was supposed to be a quiet spot for composing poems, so it wasn’t as if there was much that was needed here.

There was just a single table that was at the center of the room.

At the same time, there was a scroll on the table and what seemed to be an ink pen and well. It seemed like this was the perfect place for writing down poetry.

But there was nothing simple about this scroll and the ink pen.

That was because there were similar words that were floating there above the scroll.

These words were smaller and denser than the words that had been floating in the air in front of the pavilion. So there was no doubt that this question would be harder than the one that they answered previously.

Neither Ye Qing Huan nor Xiao Mu had confidence in solving this when they couldn’t even solve the door answer.

So the only thing that they could do was turn to Lin Fan to let him take the stage.
